Century Music Group is a Nashville music and creative company founded in 1999 by Art Ward.
For more than 25 years, the company has worked with artists, songwriters, and other clients through a range of professional services and relationships.
Today, that work includes professional record production, music promotion, song evaluations, creative services, mixing and mastering, and selective artist partnerships involving artist development, music publishing, representation, release strategy, and label relationships.

Century Music Group was founded in 1999 with a focus on artists, songs, and making records. From the beginning, the company was built as a music company rather than simply a recording studio or studio-for-hire.
Over the years, Century Music Group has worked with artists through different kinds of relationships, from individual recording projects to artist development, representation, music publishing, release strategy, and select label relationships.
The music industry has changed dramatically since 1999. How records are made, distributed, promoted, and discovered continues to evolve, particularly for independent artists. Century Music Group has evolved with it, expanding its work and services while maintaining the same hands-on approach to its artists, clients, and projects.
Today, Century Music Group brings that experience together under one company, working with artists and other clients through professional services as well as, selectively, deeper artist partnerships.

ART WARD
Art Ward founded Century Music Group in 1999 and continues to lead the company as its president, overseeing its overall direction and operations. He is also a producer and remains actively involved in select recording projects.
Ward takes a hands-on approach, remaining personally involved with many of the company's artists, clients, and projects.
That hands-on approach has remained central to Century Music Group as the company has grown and expanded its work over the years.

ARTIST PARTNERSHIPS
Some relationships extend beyond a single project. For select recording artists, Century Music Group may consider deeper partnerships involving artist development, music publishing, representation, release strategy, and label relationships.
These relationships are developed individually based on the artist, the music, the opportunity, and the creative and business fit.
Artist Partnerships are selective and are separate from Century Music Group's paid professional services. Purchasing a service does not guarantee development, publishing, representation, or a label relationship.

THE WORK STARTS WITH UNDERSTANDING THE PROJECT.
No two artists, clients, or projects are exactly alike. Century Music Group's approach begins with understanding what is being created, what it needs, and what the artist or client is trying to accomplish.
That may mean assembling the right Nashville team to make a record, helping bring attention to a finished release, providing an experienced outside perspective, finishing existing recordings, or creating the visual work surrounding a project.
For select artists, an individual project may also develop into a longer relationship with Century Music Group.
